HOW TO MAKE AND CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT

We have introduced an Online triage tool that enables our GPs to conduct consultations more efficiently.

eConsult provides an online portal where you can self-check your symptoms, and receive on the spot medical advice 24/7. Helping to relieve pressure on GPs by giving you access to round-the-clock support and alternative treatment providers.

Appointments

Appointments are made for the Exmouth Health Centre and Treetops (branch surgery) by visiting Reception at either site, by telephoning (01395) 226530 during office hours OR by using our online services.

If you think you may need more time with your GP, please mention this to the receptionist when making an appointment.  In the event that your GP is unavailable you will be offered an appointment with another doctor.  If you are unable to keep an appointment, please let our receptionists know as soon as possible.

If you feel you need to be seen urgently on the day, we have a nurse and doctor duty team who will be pleased to either see you in person or speak with you on the telephone.  Please ring the appointments number (01395) 226530

Chaperone

You are very welcome to be accompanied by a trusted friend or relative at your consultation if you wish, and this is all the more important if English is not your first language, or if you feel you might not be able to express what you need clearly to the doctor or nurse.

In additon, for intimate examinations, you will be offered the choice of having another professional clinician present at the examination. This is called chaperoning.

Because we are a small practice this might not be possible at all times. If we cant allocate a chaperone when you wish one to be there, then we can reschedule your examination to another time.
