As you are aware we have had to work differently during the Covid-19 pandemic by introducing e-consultations and more telephone appointments, this is in line with the government guidance which we have to adhere to. We have continued to hold telephone triage appointments, face to face appointments and e-consultations during the pandemic, whilst maintaining the safety of our staff and patients.

You may see a reduced number of people in the waiting room, this is because we have to stagger the face to face appointments so that we don’t have too many people in the waiting room all at one time as part of the pandemic safety measures in place to protect our patients and our staff.

We have an emergency doctor on duty every day and we have a team of GP’s for all routine appointments.

There is a perception that our doctors are not seeing patients for face to face appointments, our doctors have continued these throughout the pandemic.

Prior to the pandemic in the year 2018/2019 our surgery held 61,252 GP appointments. From 1.08.20 to current- 31.07.21 we have had 77,444 GP appointments (46,628 face to face appointments and the remaining telephone or online/video appointments).

These figures do not include all the face to face appointments our other team members have held, our nursing team, pharmacists, physios and social prescribers.

We have been continuing to see patients face to face for appointments, administering all types of immunisations (baby, children, influenza and Covid-19) whilst retaining our Covid-19 safety measures. Alongside our colleges from local surgeries we have delivered the Covid-19 vaccination programme and are currently in the process of preparing for the flu season and booster vaccines.

All of our staff are working incredibly hard. Our administrative team take over 1700 telephone calls a week, we appreciate demand is high and we are working hard to meet all your needs.

We understand that sometimes you may be frustrated but please treat all our staff with the respect and dignity they deserve.

All of our staff have been working hard to keep everyone safe and we continue to do so.

From the team at Rolle thank you for your continued support.
