We are looking for a dynamic Acute Primary Care Practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team and broaden our clinical skill-mix. This will be an extremely varied role and the successful candidate will be a qualified nurse practitioner or specialist paramedic who will treat patients for Acute Illness over the telephone, at the surgery and in the patients own home as part of our Same Day Duty Service (SDS).

We are seeking to appoint someone with a caring nature and proactive professional manner to provide a high standard of care for our 12,183 patients. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with good communication skills, and a commitment to working as part of a strong and effective nursing, same day duty team and wider practice team.

Ideally, the successful applicant will be expected to undertake same day care within the practice, working as an autonomous practitioner, providing clinical care (including telephone triage, diagnosis, treatment, referral, review) as appropriate, utilising a range of advanced skills and knowledge for patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions. There will be flexibility for the right candidate and secondments will be considered. This is a new and exciting role within our practice and we are look for the right person who can help evolve and embed it within our practice.

You will be joining our progressive and friendly team in the beautiful seaside town of Exmouth, Devon.

We employ a multi-disciplinary team of practice nurses, healthcare assistants, phlebotomists, nurse prescribers, physiotherapists, pharmacists, OT's, social prescribers and GP's. We are an innovative practice and have an 'Outstanding' CQC rating.
